Sharing today some of my favorite pins that show my current (and yesterday and tomorrow) obsession with light and dark, natural materials and texture. I love white, but I love it most against a dark and natural wood. Throw in something woven (baskets, an old hat, a rug) and it's simply perfection. Bella Vintage Marketplace is only 6 weeks away - create your shopping list now using these photos as inspiration and follow us on Facebook as we are introducing our fabulous vendors, sponsors, food trucks and entertainment almost daily!

For flowers and plants, inside or out, there are so many ways to re-purpose vintage items as planters. Here are some of my favorites. . .
Old silver pieces to hold succulents . . .
Wooden boxes with advertising. . .
Anything galvanized. . .
Including wash tubs . . .
and natural elements such as tree stumps and logs . . .
Find your perfect re-purposed planter at Bella Vintage Marketplace - only 7 weeks away!

So let me just say that when you like old stuff like I do, you don't have much interest in technology! I know I need to be friends. . . but right now I'm just more of an acquaintance. I posted on Facebook from my phone, or so I thought, a day or two ago about vendor applications but it's not showing up now. Besides the fact that it also inserted a random photo with our site link that I didn't upload. Geez. . .
So here we go again!
We are still taking vendor applications! Just click on the Vendor tab above (or at www.bellavintage.org if you are reading this on Facebook) to get the contract and agreement. You can also private message us if you have trouble opening and we can email you another version.
We are also looking for 2-3 additional Food Trucks - let us know if you own one or know of a great one that we should contact.
Have a great week!

My grandmother was a foster parent. It was way before my time, but my mother has memories of growing up with foster children in the house, and in particular a set of twins that lived with them for an extended period of time. I’ve always felt that urging to do the same, or perhaps even adopt. It took me years to really come to peace with the fact that it was okay that I didn’t (Ahh. . . good old guilt)! It takes a really special person to be soft enough to love and nurture but then hard enough to let go. I’m so thankful that many of you reading this, fall into that category.
I think that’s what drew me to AGAPE and then ultimately to Bella in the first place – the ability to use my talents to forward a cause I’m passionate about. All of you will be doing the same when you sign on for a booth or purchase a ticket for the day.
One of the things I love about AGAPE is their determination to heal families. The counseling center provides services for both children and adults in an effort to keep families together. The organization is filled with people who are passionate about what they do. Even Chandler Means, the Executive Director at Agape, is a foster parent to two little girls. I assure you that it is not a job requirement, but rather a sign of his devotion.
This is my first official post on our new site and I couldn’t think of a better way to start it off. So much more coming soon.
